Laurie's Birthday Cupcake

Happy B'day, Laurie! Chocolate cupcake, mocha buttercream, gumpaste decorations and dragees. My first try at a cupcake cover. My daughter let me borrow her cute scrapbook paper! :)

Dog Show cake

This was a cake done for the Montgomery County 4-H Dog Show. My daughter Cameron entered with our Vizsla, Libby. They both did very well! This cake was part of the raffle to raise money for the Mont. Co. 4-H Dog Project. Thankfully, Amy, who worked tirelessly making the show successful, won the cake. Chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream under fondant. Most decorations are fondant except ribbon. Bone is crispy rice treats covered in fondant. Dirt is crushed Oreo cookies and dogs images are icing images.

Tuxedo cake

Yellow Mandarin Orange Cake and chocolate buttercream. Strawberries are dipped and drizzled in dark and white chocolate and small pearl dragees applied. Tuxedo is gumpaste. Bride strawberry's "veil" is real tulle.

Ice Skating cake

White Vanilla Sour Cream cake with vanilla buttercream icing and fondant "skating rink". "Figure Eights" and swirls dusted on fondant with blue pearl dust. Skater is gumpaste with small pearl dragees applied and dust with blue pearl dust.

Lego Cake

White Vanilla Sour Cream cake with colored buttercream icing. Thanks to Cameron and Daddy for helping place the "Lego guys".

Princess Dora

This was for "Princess Mae" and the skirt is chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream covered in purple fondant. The white sash and cuffs are gumpaste and all is dusted with pearl dust. Dora is a real doll and the aqua is the shirt she had on. Cake balls are chocolate cake and icing also with colored white choc. and small pearl dragees.

Christmas Cakeballs

Had some White Almond Sour Cream scraps and decided to make cakeballs! I mixed raspberry buttercream in and rolled them, then squirted (can't think of a better word!) raspberry jelly inside and dipped them in chocolate.
