This was a really fun cake. Our dear friend Shannon not only takes beautiful photography (as evidenced above), but is also a very talented hair stylist. Some of her friends got together a "Thank You, Shannon" party to thank her for her generosity of time and talent. We (my girls and I) found this piece of clipart and it reminded us of something Shannon would appreciate. So, we made it into a cake! Of course it had to be her favorite flavors, chocolate cake and mocha buttercream. Cameron cut the artwork out of black-tinted chocolate clay and I placed it on a layer of white, green and marbled fondant. Cake is oval-shaped and the little sign (made by Greer) says, "Thank You, Shannon/We Love Your Clip Art".

Hair Stylist Cake

Thank you for sharing your talents (and your daughters). The cake, as always, was a piece of art itself. I always feel guilty for actually eating it until I taste how delicious it is. I am quickly reminded that it would be just as bad to not experience all that yummy-ness! Thank you again, such a thoughtful gift.
