Matt and Kathryn's bride's wedding cake
This is our first "real" bride's wedding cake. The bride gave us a picture she liked from theknot.com and we came as close as possible to it. We were pleased that the bride was pleased. Another first for us was the sugarpaste flowers. Cameron became our flower expert and did about 80% of them. I worked on the cakes. Bottom tier - white cake/chocolate buttercream filling, middle tier - white cake/raspberry puree filling, top tier - white cake/lemon curd buttercream filling. All tiers covered with vanilla buttercream and Creme Bouquet-flavored marshmallow fondant. Flowers are gumpaste with white pearl dust. White dots are royal icing. Navy and white fabric ribbons.
